September 2012 Update Thank-you for praying for our COM Labor Day Weekend Retreat - close to 300 people were in attendance. It was a wonderful time of watching God work in the seven Chinese internationals that came with us. Two grew in their faith; we often saw them loving others and witnessing to them. Two stated that they now believe but are hesitant in their new beliefs. They have seen what happens to others who shared their Faith back in the universities of China. The Communist Party does not want its members to become Christian.
One scholar had questions about how Jesus relates to the many gods of Buddhism. When we said goodbye to her late Sunday night, I sensed that she was going to miss the sweet fellowship of the saints that she had experienced throughout the weekend. She told me I know Christians are good and kind and I like them very much.
Our youngest passenger, who spoke no English, held closely the items she made in her children's Bible program. Our teenager told her mom that she wanted to become a Christian; and when I offered her - with her mother's permission - an opportunity to join the youth group of our home church, she gave me a big smile and said yes. I know we will be placing her in God's hands. She will have the Gospel thoroughly explained to her and have the loving fellowship of other believers that are her age.
So as you can see your prayers were answered; thank-you again! Please continue to pray for our follow-up with those who attended the retreat weekend.
We love all of you / Danny and Susan
