Elsie lives in Vero Beach with her husband Theophile and adopted son Stephan and daughter Karissa. Theo is originally from Central African Republic and Elsie is from Haiti. They both met in Tunisia in 1993 when Elsie took a group of college students there for a summer mission program. Elsie had already been working with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship/USA for 3 years.
Elsie is the veteran staff on the Central Florida team, serving 20+ years with InterVarsity. She is a great woman of prayer and has a deep passion for students. She longs for students to devote themselves to God’s purposes.
Elsie writes of her current work: "Dear Partner in the Ministry, God's blessings to you in Jesus, our faithful Lord!
I thank you greatly for all your prayers and your gifts in support of this Intervarsity ministry at Indian River State College. God has been with us; we just completed a full month of outreach on all the 5 campuses. Thirteen Bible groups are now in session for all students to attend; we are set for an active and productive semester!
I am now in the process of recruiting for our upcoming state-wide Sonburst conference to be taken place in Orlando, October 12 - 14. The goal is to take 40 - 50 IRSC students! Please, pray that God will lead me to those whom He wants to attend. It's a good opportunity for many to make a full commitment to Jesus. Visit: www.sonburst.org for all details. If you live nearby you are welcome to join us or visit briefly. I will be glad to see you!
We serve an awesome God who loves us and wants to use our gifts and talents for the advancement of His Kingdom. He is Lord. And I desire His lordship over everything we do.
Again, thank you for your continuous support of this ministry. "
